Multiple Teams · Foster Swimmers Compete at State Championships

The Foster HS Swim team competed in the UIL State Swim Championships during the weekend of February 17-18th.

Foster senior Will Roberson finished in 5th place in the boys 50-yard freestyle championship with a time of 21.22.  He dropped six hundreds of a second off his prelim time of 21.28.

Roberson also claimed a pair of consolation championships in the boys 100-yard backstroke and the boys 400 yard freestyle relay.  The relay consisted of Mason Imrie, Will Koelzer, Matthew Gaas, and Will Roberson.

Foster junior Meagan Clark swam in four events at the State Meet.  She was the consolation champion in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:55:96 in her second event. Her third event was the girls’ 100 yard freestyle and she finished in 5th place in the consolation swim.  Her 4th and final event was the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The 200-yard freestyle relay consisted of Meagan Clark, Madeline Jacks, Erin Pascual, and Sophie Gibson.  They finished in 11th place with a time of 1:41:50.

Falcon senior Matthew Gaas finished in 16th place in the boys 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:45:84.  He also finished in 13th place in the 500 yard freestyle.

Foster finished 17th place in the boys team standings with 46 points and the girls team finished in 28th place with 25 points.
