Foster Water Polo

On 2/26, Foster Girls defeat Brazoswood 7-3 in their first district match of the season. Foster Boys defeated Brazoswood 10-5 to move to 5-0 on the season!

 

Houston Lamar Tournament 3/1: Foster Boys and Girls Water Polo advanced to the championship game defeating Pearland and Lamar. The Foster Girls are runners up in the Houston Lamar tournament listing a hard fought game against St. Agnes. Foster Boys are tournament champions defeating Brazoswood in the championship game of the Houston Lamar tournament. Great job boys!

 

Foster Men’s Soccer

The boys got another win on 2/26 against Fulshear. Foster4 – Fulshear1.  Man of the match goes to Erickson Zecena scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. Winner Assi also scored recording his 13th goal of district play.

JVB Soccer beat Tomball Memorial 2-0. One more game against Terry on 3/6.

Foster Men’s Basketball

Foster’s historic season came to an end on 2/27 with a loss to Austin LBJ 42-64 in the Regional Quarterfinals. The team started 5-11 in preseason and went 13-1 to become District Champions (1st time in school history), Bi-District Champions (1st time in school history), and Area Champs (1st time in school history)!  Congratulations on a historic season!

Foster Softball

2/28: JV Softball defeated Victoria West 7-2. Rayne Athaus and Ally Ruppert doubled in the first inning. Kenzie Layman was on the mound for Foster. She surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three and walking zero. Athaus and Abby Surratt each had multiple hits for Falcons JV. Surratt and Athaus all had two hits to lead Falcons JV.

 

2/28: Varsity Softball defeated Victoria West 10-0. Kacie Pryor hit 2 homeruns and Haley Etzler hit one. Kaitlyn Reinecke and Kylie Neel each had four hits.

 

LCISD Softball Tournament: Lady Falcons go 5-1 in the LCISD Tournament.

 Foster (3) vs. Danbury (1):

Both teams were strong on the mound Thursday, but Foster Softball defeated Danbury Lady Panthers Varsity 3-1. Foster Softball pitchers allowed just four hits to Danbury Lady Panthers Varsity. Foster Softball pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Kacie Pryor doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Alexis Lesak singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Amanda Allen got the start for Foster Softball. She allowed four hits and one run over three innings, walking one. Kylie Stamper, Pryor, Lesak, CiCi Mata, Lia Castillo, and Kylie Neel each collected one hit to lead Foster Softball.

 

Foster (1) vs. Needville (2):

Both teams were strong on the mound on Thursday, but Needville Lady Jays Varsity was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Foster Softball on Thursday. Kacie Pryor started the game for Foster Softball and recorded 18 outs. Foster Softball lost despite out-hitting Needville Lady Jays Varsity five to four. Pryor took the loss for Foster Softball. She allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out 12. CiCi Mata went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Foster Softball in hits.

 

Foster (10) vs. Boling (0):

Kacie Pryor threw a shutout to lead Foster Softball past Boling Bulldogs Varsity 10-0 on Friday.

Foster Softball secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Foster Softball was led by Leea Dempsey, CiCi Mata, Bria Tovar, Pryor, Kylie Neel, and Kaitlyn Reinecke, who all drove in runs. In the first inning, Foster Softball got their offense started when Pryor homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs. Foster Softball scored six runs in the fourth inning. Foster Softball offense in the inning was led by Dempsey, Mata, Tovar, Pryor, Neel, and Reinecke, all driving in runs in the frame.  Pryor earned the win for Foster Softball. She went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Foster Softball racked up six hits on the day. Reinecke and Pryor each had multiple hits for Foster Softball. Pryor and Reinecke each collected two hits to lead Foster Softball. Foster Softball was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

 

Foster (5) vs. La Grange (3):

A walk-off single led Foster Softball past Leopards 5-3 on Friday. The game was tied at three with Foster Softball batting in the bottom of the seventh when Kylie Neel singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Foster Softball got things moving in the second inning, when a sacrifice bunt by Shelby Showers scored one run for Foster Softball. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Foster Softball tied things up at three. Kacie Pryor hit a solo homer. Pryor was the winning pitcher for Foster Softball. She allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven. Foster Softball totaled nine hits. Kaitlyn Reinecke and Neel each racked up multiple hits for Foster Softball. Reinecke went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Foster Softball in hits. Foster Softball didn’t commit a single error in the field.

 

Foster (14) vs. Spring Woods (0):

Foster Softball run-ruled Spring Woods after two innings of play. Amanda Allen was the winning pitcher allowing four hits, walking no players, and striking out six. Kacie Pryor and CiCi Mata each had two hits. Kylie Neel, and Kaitlyn Reinecke each contributed hits in the win. Bria Tovar, Pryor, Mata, Haley Etzler, Neel and Allen all had RBIs.

 

Foster (5) vs. Galveston Ball (3):

Foster Softball nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over Lady Tors Varsity on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Foster Softball batting in the bottom of the fourth when Alexis Lesak homered on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs. Foster Softball took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. Amanda Allen got the win for Foster Softball. She surrendered three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking one. Bria Tovar, Lesak, CiCi Mata, Lia Castillo, and Kaitlyn Reinecke each collected one hit to lead Foster Softball. Foster Softball was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

Foster Baseball

2/28: Program sweep vs. Katy Taylor. Varsity 8-3, JV Gold 10-0, JV White 8-3.

 

JV Gold: Chase Albright didn’t allow a single run as Foster Falcons JV defeated Katy Taylor 10-0 on Tuesday. Albright allowed just two hits. Foster Falcons JV got on the board in the first inning when Ryan Stubblefield singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Foster Falcons JV put up five runs in the fifth inning. Foster Falcons JV’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by John Downer, Nick Mota, and Audin Sanchez, a sacrifice fly by Joe Guerra, and an error on a ball put in play by Sean Kelly. Walker Ashley hit 3 run home run in the bottom of the second inning. Albright was the winning pitcher for Foster Falcons JV. He allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Foster Falcons JV collected eight hits on the day. Sanchez and Stubblefield each managed two hits to lead Foster Falcons JV.

Varsity: Foster Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Chance Van Cleave singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Cade Sitka toed the rubber for Foster Varsity. He allowed two hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Foster Varsity hit three home runs on the day. Zach Limas had a long ball in the sixth inning. Stuart Johnson had a dinger in the fourth inning. Sitka went yard in the third inning. Foster Varsity racked up 11 hits. Limas, Johnson, and Van Cleave each had multiple hits for Foster Varsity. Limas went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Foster Varsity in hits.

 

LCISD BaseballTournament: Falcons go 3-2 in the LCISD Tournament.

Foster (0) vs. Tomball Memorial (4):

Foster Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-0 loss to Tomball Memorial on Thursday. Matthew O’Driscoll led things off on the hill for Foster Varsity. He lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out one. Brandon Naivar threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. One bright spot for Foster Varsity was a single by Reece Burke in the sixth inning. Burke led Foster Varsity with one hit in two at bats

 

Foster (0) vs. Ft. Bend Dulles (4):

Foster Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-0 loss to Fort Bend Dulles on Thursday. One bright spot for Foster Varsity was a triple by Cade Sitka in the first inning. Stuart Johnson led things off on the hill for Foster Varsity. He allowed nine hits and three runs over six innings, striking out five and walking zero. Ryan Kubosh threw one inning in relief.

Zach Limas, Colt Terpstra, and Sitka all had one hit to lead Foster Varsity.

 

Foster (9) vs. Ft. Bend Bush (0):

Foster Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Cade Sitka doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Foster Varsity put up four runs in the sixth inning. Tate Hackler and Hunter Genebacher each had RBIs in the big inning. Connor Korczynski led the Foster Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Flores threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Quinton Oliver led Foster Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Foster Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

Foster (4) vs. St. Thomas Catholic (2):

Foster Varsity opened up scoring in the second inning, when Blake Barber grounded out, scoring one run. Zach Limas led the Foster Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out nine. Albright threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Albright recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Foster Varsity. Foster Varsity totaled five hits. Stuart Johnson and Chance Van Cleave each had multiple hits for Foster Varsity. Van Cleave and Johnson each managed two hits to lead Foster Varsity.

 

Foster (5) vs. Cinco Ranch (4):

Foster Varsity ran off with the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Cinco Ranch on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Foster Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Joseph Aventurado singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. Foster Varsity notched four runs in the fourth inning. Grant Guzzetta and Blake Barber all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Shea Sliva-Wynne took the win for Foster Varsity. He lasted three innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out four. Cade Sitka started the game for Foster Varsity. He surrendered two runs on four hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Zach Limas, Quinton Oliver, Barber, Aventurado, and Christian Martinez each collected one hit to lead Foster Varsity.

Men’s Track wins 1st Place at Gulf Coast Relays:

  • Michael Maves earned gold in the Shot Put.

  • Ezekiel Awe, Amryn Williams, Isaiah Awe 4th.

  • FRESHMEN Caden Cunningham set the Foster High School record in the 3200m Run with a 9:52.80!

  • Pole Vault- Hayden Henderson 5th and Zac Williams 4th! Great Job for the first time jumping varsity!
