Foster Men’s Soccer

3/6 vs. Terry

Foster beat Terry 1-0 to make it 6 wins in a row! Jose Baptista assisted Winner Assi for his 15th goal in 11 district games. Big shout out to the defense for leaving it all out on the field tonight to secure the victory!

Foster Varsity Softball

JV

3/6: Foster JV (15) vs. Fulshear (0)

Kenzie Layman shut down Fulshear, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Falcons JV to a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Falcons JV put up five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Falcons JV was led by Taylor Clark, Hannah Harrison, #10, and Deasisa (Dee) Davenport, all driving in runs in the frame. Layman was on the mound for Falcons JV. She lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out nine and walking one. Clark went 0-for-0 at the plate as she led the team with two runs batted in.

 

3/9:  Foster JV (1) vs. Calhoun (0)

Kenzie Layman didn’t allow a single run as Falcons JV defeated Calhoun 1-0 on Friday. Layman toed the rubber for Falcons JV. She allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero. Ally Ruppert and Jordan Lesak each collected one hit to lead Falcons JV. Falcons JV was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

 

Varsity

3/9: Foster Varsity (2) vs. Calhoun (0)

21 batters came up against Kacie Pryor and not a single one could touch him. A perfect game led Foster Varsity past Calhoun 2-0 on Friday. The pitching was strong on both sides. Pryor struck out 11, allowed zero hits and zero runs over seven innings. Kylie Neel had two hits, while Lia Castillo, Bria Tovar, Cici Mata, Leea Dempsey, and Kaitlyn Reinecke each collected one hit to lead Foster Varsity.

 

3/6: Foster Varsity (16) vs. Fulshear (0)

Kacie Pryor threw a gem on Tuesday for Foster Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Fulshear Chargers Varsity by a score of 16-0. Foster Varsity tallied eight runs in the second inning. Kylie Stamper, Leea Dempsey, Alyssa Muceus, Amanda Allen, Pryor, and Kylie Neel all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Pryor pitched Foster Varsity to victory. She lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out seven and walking zero. Foster Varsity collected 14 hits on the day. CiCi Mata, Kaitlyn Reinecke, Pryor, Muceus, and Stamper all had multiple hits for Foster Varsity. Mata went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Foster Varsity in hits. Foster Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

Foster Baseball

JV

3/6: Foster JV Gold (3) vs. Travis (5)

Foster Falcons JV fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 5-3 loss to Travis on Tuesday. Travis took the lead on an error in the first inning. Foster Falcons JV lost despite out-hitting Travis five to four. DJ Harris was on the mound for Foster Falcons JV. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out two. Chase Albright threw three innings in relief.

Walker Ashley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Foster Falcons JV in hits.

 

3/8: Foster JV (3) vs. Katy Paetow (1)

Foster Falcons JV took the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over Katy Paetow on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Foster Falcons JV batting in the top of the sixth when Walker Ashley doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Foster Falcons JV pitchers struck out four, while Katy Paetow pitchers sat down five. Jake Capel earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Foster Falcons JV. He surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out two and walking zero. John Downer threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Downer recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Foster Falcons JV. Joe Guerra, Sean Kelly, Ashley, and Ryan Stubblefield each managed one hit to lead Foster Falcons JV. Foster Falcons JV stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Eric Estrella led the way with two.

 

3/8: Foster JV (1) vs. Strake Jesuit (12)

Foster Falcons JV couldn’t keep up with Strake Jesuit and fell 12-1 on Thursday. Ryan Balusek led things off on the hill for Foster Falcons JV. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out three. Clay Godwin threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Brendan Genenbacher, Walker Ashley, and Case Parker each managed one hit to lead Foster Falcons JV.

 

3/10: Foster JV (7) vs. Westside (5)

Foster Falcons JV defeated Westside 7-5 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Foster Falcons JV was down 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Nick Mota tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs. Foster Falcons JV earned the victory despite allowing Westside to score three runs in the third inning. Ryan Stubblefield earned the win for Foster Falcons JV. He allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three. Sean Kelly, Mota, Eric Estrella, Audin Sanchez, Walker Ashley, and Stubblefield each collected one hit to lead Foster Falcons JV.

 

3/10: Foster JV (17) vs. Morton Ranch (10)

The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Foster Falcons JV came out on top against Morton Ranch, 17-10. Foster Falcons JV opened up scoring in the first inning. Walker Ashley drew a walk, scoring one run. Foster Falcons JV notched eight runs in the third inning. Foster Falcons JV batters contributing to the big inning included Case Parker, Sean Kelly, Logan Stanton, Nick Mota, and Dj Harris, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Mota took the win for Foster Falcons JV. He went two innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking one. John Downer, Jake Capel, and Chase Albright all put in work on the pitcher’s mound in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Foster Falcons JV racked up 11 hits. Albright, Mota, and Stanton each collected multiple hits for Foster Falcons JV. Stanton, Mota, and Albright each collected two hits to lead Foster Falcons JV.

 

Varsity

3/6: Foster Varsity (7) vs. Ft. Bend Travis (10)

Foster Varsity lost the lead late in a 10-7 defeat to Fort Bend Travis on Tuesday. Despite the loss, Foster Varsity did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Fort Bend Travis had eight hits on the way to victory. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Foster Varsity tied things up at seven. Foster Varsity put up three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Foster Varsity was led by Quinton Oliver and Chance Van Cleave, all driving in runs in the frame. O’Driscoll toed the rubber for Foster Varsity. He allowed six hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out two. Brandon Naivar and Ryan Kubosh entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and two innings respectively. Foster Varsity totaled eight hits in the game. Oliver and Christian Martinez each managed multiple hits for Foster Varsity. Oliver went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Foster Varsity in hits.

 

3/8: Foster Varsity (10) vs. Bay City (0)

Foster Varsity defeated Bay City 10-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ryan Kubosh induced a fly out from #9 to finish off the game. Cade Sitka was on the mound for Foster Varsity. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out eight and walking zero. Foster Varsity racked up 15 hits. Sitka, Chance Van Cleave, Colt Terpstra, Reece Burke, and Dalton Hines each managed multiple hits for Foster Varsity. Sitka led Foster Varsity with four hits in four at bats.

 

3/9: Foster Varsity (9) vs. Bishop (1)

Foster Varsity ran off with the lead late in the game in a 9-1 victory over Bishop on Friday. The game was tied at one with Foster Varsity batting in the bottom of the fourth when Christian Martinez singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Foster Varsity secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fourth inning. Foster Varsity big bats were led by Martinez, Stuart Johnson, and Quinton Oliver, who all drove in runs. In the bottom of the third inning, Foster Varsity tied things up at one. An error scored one run for Foster Varsity. Foster Varsity pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Johnson singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Oliver tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs. Shea Sliva-Wynne was on the mound for Foster Varsity. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out four. Oliver went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Foster Varsity in hits.

 

3/10: Foster Varsity (8) vs Angleton (0)

Zach Limas didn’t allow a single hit as Foster Varsity defeated Angleton 8-0 on Saturday.

Foster Varsity secured the victory thanks to five runs in the first inning. The rally was led by walks by Stuart Johnson, Jacob Flores, and Limas, by Joseph Aventurado, and a double by Cade Sitka. Foster Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Foster Varsity scored one run when Sitka doubled. Limas got the start for Foster Varsity. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out three and walking zero. Sitka led Foster Varsity with two hits in four at bats.

 

3/10: Foster Varsity (9) vs. El Campo (6)

Foster Varsity defeated El Campo 9-6 thanks to a strong start. Foster Varsity scored on a sacrifice fly by Chance Van Cleave in the first inning, an error in the second inning, a triple by Zach Limas in the second inning, and a single by Hunter Genebacher in the second inning. El Campo scored four runs in the fifth inning, but Foster Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. In the bottom of the first inning, Foster Varsity tied things up at one when Van Cleave’s sac fly scored one run for Foster Varsity. Foster Varsity pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Foster Varsity, Limas tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, and Genebacher singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Foster Varsity scored four runs in the third inning. The rally was led by singles by Limas and Genebacher, a walk by Colt Terpstra, and a sacrifice fly by Jacob Flores. Stuart Johnson led things off on the rubber for Foster Varsity. He surrendered one run on three hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one.

Foster Varsity tallied 11 hits on the day. Cade Sitka, Limas, and Genebacher each had multiple hits for Foster Varsity. Genebacher, Limas, and Sitka all had two hits to lead Foster Varsity.

3/8: LCISD Relays: Varsity Men’s Champs!

  • 4×400 Relay of Claiborne, Badmus, Williams, and Wise, win the Gold

  • Christian Young goes wins Gold in the 200m and Freshman Cody Jackson with the Silver

  • Tolu Badmus is the LCISD relays 400m Champion!! He ran a PR of 48.87 which is .10 seconds off of the school record

  • Wesley Asenuga getting Bronze in the 100m

  • Amryn Williams with the Silver and Ezekiel Awe with the Bronze in the Triple Jump

  • 800 boys are back on the stand! @3Chrxs with the Gold and @ThaRealCWill with Bronze

  • 4×100 on the medal stand with the Bronze

  • Caden Cunningham claims Gold at the LCISD Relays in the 3,200m Run

  • Michael Maves wins Gold in the Shot Put! This medal also came with a PR of 50’6”.

Foster Water Polo

 

3/8: LCISD Texas Classic Tournament: Foster Girls and Foster Boys both go 2-0 defeating Westside and Clear Springs advancing them to semi-final play.

 

3/10: Foster Girls lost in OT to St. Agnes 11-12 to take 2nd. The Foster Boys won in OT against Jersey Village and are tournament champions. The girls move to 12-2 on the season. The boys are undefeated at 14-0.
