Foster Water Polo


5/3-4/19: TISCA State Tournament


Congratulations to Foster’s Girl’s Water Polo team on winning their first State Championship title Saturday afternoon beating Southlake 8-5. Foster’s Boy’s Water Polo earned a State Champion Runner Up title!


Both teams made school history with their victories!! We are Foster Proud of Water Polo!


Congratulations to the many players were named to the All State team: Maddie Jacks and Michael Colemenares earned State MVP! Coach Slay named Boys and Girls Coach of the Year!


Results from State Tournament play:

5/3/19: Great start for both Water Polo teams at State Tournament: The Girls beat Marcus 7-2. The Boys beat Denton Guyer 12-7.


5/3/19: The Foster Girls and Boys rolled their way into the semis of the TISCA State tournament. The girls defeated Cy Creek 8-6 and the boys beat the Woodlands 15-7.


5/4/19: The Foster Boys and Girls have advanced to the state water polo finals. The girls defeated defending state champion Denton Guyer 8-7 and the boys defeated Southlake Carroll 17-10.


Foster Softball


The 2019 Foster softball season came to an end as Foster dropped two games to Barbers Hill during round two of the playoffs. Congratulations on a great season and good luck to the seniors.


5/1/19 Foster (1) vs. Barbers Hill (7)


Foster Falcons Varsity struggled to get their offense going on Wednesday, getting easily dispatched by Barbers Hill, 7-1. Amanda Allen started the game for Foster. She surrendered seven runs on 14 hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Kylie Neel led Foster with one hit in two at bats.

5/2/19: Foster (3) vs. Barbers Hill (4)

Foster Falcons Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-3 loss to Barbers Hill on Thursday. Foster fired up the offense in the first inning scoring one run when Kylie Neel singled. Peyton Welker was on the rubber for Foster. She lasted one-third of an inning, allowing five hits and four runs while walking one. Amanda Allen threw five and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Neel led Foster Falcons Varsity with two hits in three at bats.

5/2/19: Foster (16) vs. Houston Austin (0)

Chase Albright was brilliant on the mound on Thursday, as he threw a no-hitter to lead Foster Falcons Varsity past Houston Austin 16-0. Foster got on the board in the first inning. Albright drove in one when he singled. Foster notched seven runs in the fourth inning with singles by Sean Kelly, Bryson Harrell, and Christian Martinez and a home run by Cade Sitka. Albright got the win for Foster. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Foster socked two home runs on the day. Sitka had a four bagger in the fourth inning. Nick Mota went for the long ball in the third inning. Foster had 15 hits in the game. Albright, Harrell, Jacob Flores, Reece Burke, and Martinez each collected multiple hits for Foster Falcons Varsity. Albright went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Foster in hits. Foster didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sitka had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

5/2/19: Foster (13) vs. Houston Austin (0)

Foster Falcons Varsity defeated Houston Austin 13-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Brandon Naivar induced a groundout from Adrian Fernandez to finish off the game. Foster got on the board in the first inning when Chase Albright drew a walk, scoring one run. Foster tallied six runs in the third inning. Foster put the pressure on, lead by singles by Albright, Bryson Harrell, and Christian Martinez.

One bright spot for Houston Austin was a single by Adrian Ramirez in the first inning. Jackson Schwank earned the victory on the mound for Foster. He lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero. Naivar threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Albright led Foster Falcons Varsity with two hits in two at bats. Foster Falcons Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Cade Sitka made the most plays with six.
